Photos: Afternoon Tea With The Bands and Mirfields Arts Festival

This weekend saw the band fulfil two engagements. On Saturday, together with our Youth Training Band, we held an Afternoon Tea with both bands performing on Grange Moor green. Both bands had parts of the afternoon on their own with Matthew Asher conducting the main band and Val Hope conducting the Youth Training Band, but they also performed together for The Shoop Shoop Song. The event also saw the Youth Training Band unveil their brand new purple band jackets, funded by a grant from Kirkburton Council.

Sunday evening saw us return to close the Mirfield Arts Festival. In glorious sunshine, the band entertained the people of Mirfield with pieces like Eternal Flame, Men Of Harlech and An American Trilogy.

Thanks to everyone who supported the bands at both events.

Our next engagement is on Yorkshire Day, 1st August, at the Hartshead Social Club (WF15 8AY) for their annual Yorkshire Day Celebrations. The band will be playing from 7:30 pm.
