Only £5 per month!

Monthly prize draws.

A truly worthy way of supporting the band regularly, without which we simply wouldn’t survive.

Prize money handed out so far

Grange Moor Brass Band Committee aims to raise valuable funds for the continued running of Grange Moor Brass Band. Money raised by the 100 Club is used to maintain the fabric and structure of our band room, maintenance of instruments and other costs incurred by the running of the band.

By joining the 100 Club you can help towards keeping Grange Moor Brass Band as part of the village community as well as having a chance to win cash prizes every month!

How it works

Each entry costs £5.00 per month (preferred payment by standing order).
There is no limit on the number of entries each individual may have.
You can enter at any time.
Prizes will not be paid to winning numbers unless all their payments are current.

Prize draws will be made at the following locations:

  • At Grange Moor Brass Band’s rehearsal room during the first rehearsal of each month;
  • At a Grange Moor Brass Band committee meeting (usually held on the first Sunday of each month);
  • or at an alternative location – such as at a band performance.

As a small society lottery, you have to be invited to join, you will be allocated a number and your tickets are not transferable. You have to be 16 or over to join (proof of age may be required).

Each month there will be a draw for 50% of the income. This amount shall be divided between 3 lucky winners.

  • The 1st prize will be 25% of the income – £125 if 100 members;
  • The 2nd prize will be 15% of the income – £75 if 100 members;
  • The 3rd prize will be 10% of the income – £50 if 100 members.

As above, if the Club consists of 100 members, the income for that month will be £500 and 50% will be used as the prize fund i.e. £250 split into three prizes as described above.

The more people who buy a subscription – the higher the prize money!

You may have (and are encouraged to do so) more than one number per month.

We would prefer for you to pay by Standing Order.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can cancel your standing order at any time; just play for one month if you like. You will need to cancel by contacting your bank. Though, if you have internet banking, you should be able do this yourself on your bank’s website, or on your online banking app on your handheld devices. We will, of course, be sorry to see you leave, but if you wouldn’t mind dropping us an email at 100club@grangemoorbrassband.co.uk to tell us you’ve cancelled your standing order, then we can double check for you that your cancellation request has been carried out.

  • Every standing order we receive shows up on our online bank account with the 100 club reference. The 100 Club administrators, working alongside the Treasurer, checks and double checks the amounts received each month. Anyone who’s paid is in that month’s game, anyone who hasn’t is out. That’s why we’d really appreciate a goodbye email, so we are expecting to see your missing entry.

    • The 2nd prize will be 15% of the income – £75 if 100 members;
    • The 3rd prize will be 10% of the income – £50 if 100 members.
    • The remaining 50% of the income will be allocated to Grange Moor Brass Band.
    • The regular monthly prize may be amended as agreed by the Grange Moor Brass Band committee (i.e. for special events or one off draws).
  1. Registers will be kept recording the name and address of each member, the number(s) allocated to them and the subscriptions received from them.
  2. Unless otherwise advised, a member will be deemed to have left the Club if his or her renewal of subscription remains unpaid for a period of one month.
  3. If a winner cannot be contacted, the winnings will be placed into Grange Moor Brass Band funds after 6 months.
  4. The decision of Grange Moor Brass Band Committee shall be final in all matters requiring adjudication.
  5. Grange Moor Brass Band Committee shall have the power to amend or revoke these rules at their absolute discretion with such reasonable notice to the 100 Club members as is necessary.
