We have an additional, smaller band, which meets during the week on a Wednesday between 11:30 and 13:30 at the bandroom. The band is informally known as “Midweek Music Madness”. It is typically made up of retirees, given that it meets during the day, but anyone is welcome. Whilst the players are mainly from the main Grange Moor band, again, anyone is welcome to join.
The rehearsals are extremely relaxed, informal and sociable (there is usually cake!). We tend to play smaller ensemble pieces, although we do also have ‘full’ band pieces in our repertoire. We offer performances to care/retirement homes, schools and community groups who may want some midweek daytime entertainment.
