A few weeks ago, we performed at the newly refurbished Kirkheaton St. John the Baptist Church with the Gledholt Male Voice Choir. The band was in fine form and played superbly. This video was originally posted on YouTube by enujllah. As previously posted, we performed at the Unison AGM at Huddersfield Town Hall recently. One of the highlights was this performance of what is often referred to as The Miner’s Hymn – named after the 1934 Gresford Pit Disaster in which 266 men and boys lost […]
Earlier this week, the band performed for the Annual General Meeting of Unison’s Kirklees branch, held at Huddersfield Town Hall. The meeting was attended by members of the NUM who were commemorating thirty years since the beginning of the 1984/85 miners’ strike. UPDATE: 14th April 2014, 21 new photos added. Earlier this year, we played for the opening of Kirkwood Hospice’s brick path. In the blazing heat, the band played wonderfully. @GrangeMoorBand sounding fab. #sunshine — Kirkwood Hospice (@KirkwoodHospice) July 7, 2013
Later on this afternoon (14.45) the band will be playing in Jubilee square in Golcar as a part of the Golcar Lily Day celebrations. Why not come along and listen to the various bands, see all the stalls and other activities going on! The full programme can be accessed from their website.
The band are pleased to announce that their annual spring concert has been rearranged for Sunday 12th May. Any previously bought tickets will still be eligible for this concert or of course a refund, if in doubt just drop us a line.
Unfortunately, owing to the current inclement weather, the band have had to cancel their concert scheduled for tomorrow. We are really sorry for any inconvenience this will cause, but we hope you understand why. We’ll be looking to re-schedule the concert in the next few weeks, so watch this space.
