As the band enters its 160th year, we would like to wish all our friends, followers, members and supporters a Happy and Prosperous New Year. We look forward to seeing you all at some point in the year!
Things are moving on quickly with the redesign on the website. Plenty of progress has been made today and hopefully it will be up and running fairly soon.
Today, Christmas was started for the band by playing at the Grange Moor Christmas fair. The band had a great time playing to the audience and the day also saw the launch of ticket sales for the band’s annual Christmas concert on Sunday the 16th December (details to follow shortly).
The band are pleased to announce a whole host of new players have joined the band. Further details will be appearing on the players section of the band website over the next few days.

The band have received confirmation of the final gradings for bands competing in the Yorkshire Regional Brass Band Championships and it has been confirmed that as of 1st January 2013 the band will be demoted from the 1st section to the 2nd section. Yesterday the band held its annual general meeting, the headlines from it are that it was decided that the current officers of the committee (Tim Grace and Nathan Abbotts) would remain in post and that the current position of the whole band being on the committee would remain for the foreseeable future.
